Your Village Christian Academy Knights Varsity Football Team won it's game on Friday to improve their record to 2-0. This is a first in VCA Varsity Football history. The 62 - 6 victory over Concord First Assembly was a non conference game.

The evening started off slowly compared to the victory at Dillon, but once the Knights locked in, the charge was on. The Knights were virtually unstoppable (besides quite a few penalties that took touchdowns off the scoreboard). Our Knights scored offensively and defensively. Touchdowns were scored by Asa Barnes (RB), Jaylon Cantey (DE), Tim Grate (QB), Orlando Flowers Jr (WR), Adam Gonzalez (TE) and Chris McKay Jr (WR).

The Knights have a bye this week. They will be back in action Friday, September 7th at Harrell's Academy.

Need Team Managers: if you would like to be a part of the Championship experience, our team is in need of additional Team Managers. Benefits include: Free travel to and from games, free pre game meal, meet new people, and valuable training (if you decide to take make it your major in college).  Duties include: Prep/Take down of practice field and equipment, athlete hydration, filming games and practice, and pre game/pre practice taping of athletes. If you are interested, stop by the field house and see Coach Martin or Coach Russell as soon as possible.
