Bats were blistered as Village Christian Academy (JV) defeated Columbus Christian Academy 10-6 on Friday. In the first inning, Village Christian Academy (JV) got their offense started. Quinn Hoggard drew a walk, scoring one run.

Columbus Christian Academy knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the first inning, when Bailey Padget doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.  Village Christian Academy (JV) pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Savannah Borcicky singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs and Payton Gunter singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Hoggard pitched Village Christian Academy (JV) to victory. She went six innings, allowing six runs on four hits, striking out eight and walking zero. Padget was on the mound for Columbus Christian Academy. She lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and ten runs while striking out eight. Allee Greene threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Village Christian Academy (JV) collected eight hits. Jessica Taylor and Azeria Thomas each collected multiple hits for Village Christian Academy (JV). Taylor went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Village Christian Academy (JV) in hits.  Padget led Columbus Christian Academy with two hits in three at bats.
