Scorekeepers were kept busy today during a high-scoring contest between Cape Fear Christian Academy and Village Christian Academy (JV) where Village Christian Academy (JV) lost 28-6.  The Village Christian Academy (JV) struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Cape Fear Christian Academy, giving up 28 runs.  Village Christian Academy (JV) tallied three runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught came from doubles by Kiley Stephens and Quinn Hoggard and a single by Payton Gunter.

Aubrey Bass took the win for Cape Fear Christian Academy. She surrendered six runs on eight hits over three innings, striking out seven and walking one. Hoggard started the game for Village Christian Academy (JV). She went two innings, allowing 19 runs on 15 hits, striking out two and walking one. Chloe Malone threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Village Christian Academy (JV) totaled eight hits in the game. Gunter and Stephens each racked up multiple hits for Village Christian Academy (JV). Stephens and Gunter all had two hits to lead Village Christian Academy (JV).  Cape Fear Christian Academy racked up 20 hits in the game. Paige Jeffries, Riley Horne, Jada Horne, Bass, and Claire Parker each had multiple hits for Cape Fear Christian Academy.Jeffries went 5-for-5 at the plate to lead Cape Fear Christian Academy in hits.
