Nate Reitz wasted no opportunities at the plate on Tuesday, driving in four on three hits to lead Village Christian Academy Knights Varsity past Northwood Temple Academy 23-4 on Tuesday.Reitz drove in runs on a single in the first, a single in the second, and a single in the second.
Northwood Temple Academy scored three runs in the fifth inning, but Village Christian Academy Knights Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. Northwood Temple Academy batters contributing to the big inning included Tevon Canady and Elijah Carter, who each had RBIs in the inning.
In the first inning, Village Christian Academy Knights Varsity got their offense started when Andrew Hollers doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. Village Christian Academy Knights Varsity put up 12 runs in the second inning. Cason Puczylowski, Reitz, Drew Royal, Bryce Pfuntner, Sam Mcdonald, and Hollers all drove in runs in the frame.
Ryan Helms was the winning pitcher for Village Christian Academy Knights Varsity. He lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out five and walking zero. Mcdonald and Anthony Harper entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Conner Stewart took the loss for Northwood Temple Academy.
